State/Territory Nomination (for 190 and 491): If applying for the 190 (Nominated) or 491 (Regional Provisional) visa, you must secure a nomination from an Australian State or Territory.
Invitation to Apply (ITA): If your EOI meets the selection criteria, you will receive an invitation to apply for the visa.
Lodge Visa Application: Within 60 days of the invitation, lodge your full visa application via ImmiAccount.
Checks and Grant: Complete health and character checks, and await the visa grant.
Where: The initial EOI is submitted via SkillSelect, an online system on the Department of Home Affairs website. The final visa application is lodged through ImmiAccount after receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
How: Create a SkillSelect EOI, accurately claiming points. Wait for an ITA. Once invited, log in to ImmiAccount to start the formal visa application.
Skills Assessment Outcome: The official letter from the assessing body.
English Language Test Results: (e.g., IELTS, PTE, TOEFL iBT).
Educational Documents: Degrees, transcripts, and completion certificates.
Work Experience Evidence: Employment references, payslips, tax documents to prove claimed experience.
Identity Documents: Passports, birth certificates.
Police Checks: From every country you have lived in for 12 months or more in the last 10 years.
