This category is for business owners, entrepreneurs, and investors who want to establish a business or invest in Australia. Many of the previous key visas (Subclass 188 and Subclass 132) are currently closed or have been significantly restructured/closed for new applications as of late 2025/mid-2024 (e.g., the Business Innovation and Investment Program (BIIP) is closed for new 188 applications). Future programs, such as the National Innovation Visa, are being developed.
Note: Due to significant and recent changes/closures to the key Business and Investor Visa program (BIIP), details are constantly evolving. Always check the Department of Home Affairs website for the latest status.
